CALIFORNIA 2007
California has become one of the most important wine producing regions. This American state is considered as the paradise for wine tourism as well as one of the leaders in technological advances, headed by the Department of Enology and Viticulture of the University of California at Davis.
The trip, directed to wine professionals, includes visits to eight of the most important wineries in Napa and Sonoma. The program includes a vineyard and winery guided tour and a tasting session at each winery.
The most important feature of the trip is an advanced course at the legendary University of California Davis. The three-day course covers lectures on enology, viticulture and wine marketing conducted by some of their most renowned professors.
There will be some free time for leisure and tourism, visiting the cities of Napa, Davis and San Francisco. Professional staff from The Wine Academy of Spain will guide the group and will be responsible for translating the courses and visits into Spanish.
