The Department of Oenology and Viticulture of the University of California Davis is considered to be be one of the most important in the wine world. This Department has always been a pioneer in the investigation of clones, DNA studies, phenolic extractin, root stock development and fermentations.
The two day intensive course, which has been specifically designed for this trip, is very advanced and has the participation of some of the university’s most prestigious instructors and professors, who also happen to have written text books which are used all over the world. The course that has been organized over the past three years, especially for the Wine Academy of Spain, and it has been taught by some of the universiytie’s most respected professors such as Roger Boulton, Doug Adams, Andrew Waterhouse and James Wolpert amongst others.
