Serena is the person responsible for the wine department in Sotheby´s, the renowned London house where each year the most legendary, expensive, exclusive and rare wines are auctioned. Serena is a Master of Wine and a prolific writer.

CRDOC Rioja

Rioja will be represented by 4 well-known winemakers from some of the most prestigious wineries. These winemakers will conduct a tasting of the 10 best and most representative wines from Rioja.

CRDO Sherry

The Regulating Body of Sherry will be represented by 4 well-known winemakers from some of the most legendary wineries of the region. César Salldaña, Manager of the Regulating Body, who will act as moderator, will accompany them.

The Douro Boys
The Douro Boys are a group of winemakers from Douro who produce some of the best Ports and still wines in Portugal. Dirk Niepoort, owner of the winery that carries the same name, is one of the most genious and well repected producers of the world.  Dirk will be accompanied by Xandra Tavares, who produces one of the best wines in Douro, and by Susana Esteban, oenologist for Quinta do Crasto.

Andreas Larsson, best European Sommelier; Cesar Canovas, best Sommelier in Spain; Juli Soler, sommelier from El Bulli; Custodio Zamarra, sommelier from Zalacaín. 

The Institute of Masters of Wine

This is organization responsible for the preparation courses which aim at obtaining one of the most desired and prestigious titles in the world, the Master of Wine. Three of the Masters of Wine who best know Spanish wines will be responsible for conducting a master class about how Spanish wine is sold and how it is perceived in the most important international markets. Sarah Jane Evans , Frank Smulders and Ed Adams will be accompanied by  Siobhan Turner, the Institute’s Executive Director.
