Storage and Service of Wine, and Responsible Consumption.
During the course more than 50 wines from all over the different regions will be tasted.

Course Objectives
The objective of this level 2 course is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge of the most important wine regions of the world to those people who work in the wine and business industry; from the winery to the retail outlet, including hotel, restaurant, sales, distribution and marketing in the wine sector.

The programme offers a diploma that is recognized in more than 20 countries and is accepted in important markets such as the US and the UK, where it has become a requirement for anyone wanting to work in the wine industry.

This Course is Directed to:

  • Winery personnel
  • Oenologists
  • Sommeliers
  • Distributors and importers
  • Staff in wine retail stores
  • Staff in hotels and restaurants.
  • Any personnel in businesses related to the wine sector and other alcoholic beverages that have a previous basic knowledge.
  • Amateurs or wine enthusiasts who wish to enhance their knowledge of wine.

Requirements and Examination

  • All candidates must be over 18 years of age.
  • Once they have completed the 3 day course, the students must pass a theoretical examination which is made up of 50 questions, in order to receive the Level 2 Qualification.

  • The courses will take place in The Wine Academy of Spain’s premises in Madrid, C/ Velázquez 28, 2º izda. (con C/ Goya). 28001.

Registrations

  • Price of the course for the academic year 200-2008: € 560 plus 16% IVA (VAT).
  • Registration deadline ends 15 days before the course commences.
  • Payment method: online (PAYPAL or credit card), money order or bank transfer.
  • Registration will only be valid once the payment has been confirmed.
